eBay Integration Privacy Notice

1. About this notice

This notice explains how Jolie Fête handles information through its private eBay marketplace integration.

The integration is an internal business tool used by authorised Jolie Fête personnel. It connects our eBay business account with our Notion workspace and hosted Notion Worker. It is not offered to customers or the public.

Its initial functions are read-only: reviewing shipping and returns policies, advertising campaigns and promotions, including multi-buy offers. Any future functions that make changes will require a review of this notice and appropriate authorisation.

2. Who is responsible?

Jolie Fête is responsible for determining how information processed through the integration is used.

3. Information processed

Depending on the authorised functions, the integration may process:

Seller-account and marketplace identifiers.
Shipping, fulfilment and returns policies.
Advertising campaign and promotion information, including identifiers, settings, rates and associated listing references where returned by eBay.
Technical information required for authentication and operation.
Limited execution records and error information.
eBay account-deletion notifications and identifiers needed to assess and handle those requests.

The initial integration is not designed to retrieve buyer contact details, messages, payment information or order records. We aim to limit access to information needed for the approved functions.

4. How we use information

We use this information to review our eBay marketplace settings, prepare internal summaries, identify inconsistencies, support business decisions, maintain security and troubleshoot the integration.

We also use relevant information to assess and respond to eBay account-deletion notifications.

Stock quantities, product titles, descriptions and base product prices remain outside the initial integration’s editing scope. It does not replace Selro’s stock-management role.

We do not sell personal data processed through the integration.

5. Lawful basis

Where the information constitutes personal data, we rely on legitimate interests in operating and securing our business systems and, where applicable, legal obligations.

6. Services involved

The integration uses eBay’s APIs and Notion’s workspace and hosted Worker services. Information included in authorised Notion conversations or reports may also be processed by the services supporting those features, according to our workspace settings and applicable provider terms.

These providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. International transfers are subject to applicable data-protection requirements and relevant contractual safeguards.

7. Storage and retention

The integration is not designed to maintain a separate permanent copy of the entire eBay account.

Information may remain in eBay, relevant Notion conversations, saved reports or working records, and technical execution records. We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for its stated purpose or applicable legal requirements.

Disconnecting the integration stops future authorised access but does not automatically remove existing reports, conversations or technical records.

8. Security and access

We use OAuth authorisation rather than sharing the seller’s eBay password, protect application credentials and tokens, and restrict access to authorised personnel.

The initial tools are read-only. Any later tools that change marketplace settings will require an authorised user to review and approve the proposed changes.

9. Deletion requests and your rights

We assess eBay account-deletion notifications and requests from individuals, and take appropriate action to delete relevant retained personal information unless an applicable legal requirement permits or requires retention.

Receiving a notification does not itself delete our seller account or listings.

Where applicable, individuals may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of their personal data, object to processing, or complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

10. Withdrawing access and changes

Authorisation can be revoked through eBay, and the integration can be disabled in Notion.

We will update this notice if its functions or data handling change materially.
